One of our purchasing objectives is to build up a competitive global supplier database to support our group of companies worldwide. The Sourcing Hub Manager is responsible to identify, qualify and develop new suppliers mainly for our manufacturing plants who are able to meet the technical and functional specifications and provide the most competitive pricing along with the highest quality levels.

The Sourcing Hub Manager reports to the Head of Group Purchasing.

Responsibilities:

• Building up and leading the Sourcing Hub in Eastern Europe.
• Selecting and developing suppliers to ensure competitive prices with highest quality levels which could support all our relevant locations.
• Negotiating and closing contracts.
• Developing, leading and executing purchasing strategies for our sourcing activities in Eastern Europe - in line with the commodities strategies.
• Managing the suppliers in the day-to-day business to ensure that quality and reliability is maintained, and issues are resolved before they impact the deliveries.
• Tracking and reporting purchasing key performance indicators to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• The candidate is in regular interaction with the suppliers as well as with the stakeholders within the Busch/Pfeiffer Vacuum group.  

Qualifications:

• Technical education. Must understand technical drawings and casting/machining processes.
• At least 5+ years working experience in sourcing, the candidate must have hands-on experience in managing suppliers.
• International working experience is required
• Good interpersonal, project management and negotiation skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex purchasing issues
• Low Volume / High Mix Market Experience and knowledge is an advantage
• Good computer skills (SAP / Microsoft)
• Hold driving license and willing to travel
