Job Overview
We are planning to set up an abatement application engineering and manufacturing hub for the region in South Korea.
The Business Development and Application Engineer will be responsible for driving the set-up of an applications engineering team in South Korea as well as supporting sales teams with our abatement and subfab vacuum solutions portfolio.
This role combines expertise in vacuum and abatements technology as well as semiconductor application knowledge to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, develop partnerships and position the company as a trusted leader to major semiconductor manufacturers.
You will work closely with technical application, engineering and R&D teams within our group to tailor solutions to client needs and ensure that our offerings align with market demands and create a competitive advantage.
The role also requires staying abreast of technological trends and customer challenges to guide product positioning and innovation for the production lines in Europe and Asia
Key Responsibilities
- Understand Centrotherm Tools Customer benefits
- Generate a close applications partnership & understand customers organization in SEMI business
- Generate close partnership with customer key players
- Understand customers organization in the tool purchasing process
- Identify/ Drive / Follow up tool’s applications and tool evaluation
- Show/develop/promote existing systems tools among customer organization. (Visits, Applicative workshop)
- Identify/develop new business in customer organization.
- Together with Centrotherm Product Manager define strategy for Scrubber market
- Initiate Centrotherm system demo(evaluation) plan through major customers
- Do work as cross-linking role between PVSK and Centrotherm
- Responsible for providing technical support to field service engineers, technicians and product support who are diagnosing and troubleshooting.
- Provides support to customer where the product is highly technical.
- Gathering all data for Scrubber, present and new technical material, issues in the local area and summarize it to analysis
- Generate technical support documentation, creates and reviews documentation relating to technical improvements, system updates, and support plans
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in physics and chemistry or equivalent knowledge holder.
- More than 5 years of experience in Application or sales for Semiconductor market.
- Understanding the semiconductor process.
- Good Korean and English communication.
- Person who has a similar work experience would be preferred.
