Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

  • Manage sourcing activity coordination and processes for sourcing duties relating to new product development, product transfer… with the goal of assuring specified quality, required delivery times and minimizing the total cost of the products and services.
  • Work closely with Engineers, R&D to get the technical requirements and act as a technical liaison between suppliers and Engineers.
  • Analyze all internal and external procurement information to effectively develop supply base strategies for major procurement projects.
  • Initiate and drive cost management by conducting assessments to identify and qualify vendors based on quality, cost and reliability.
  • Prepare procurement documentation, which is professional, well-structured and concise, uses appropriate language and contains relevant information for high value/high risk projects.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the supplier evaluation and selection process and manage the process for high value/high risk projects.
  • Develop evaluation plans that allow for a multi-stage evaluation and assessment of several potentially competing criteria and complex value for money calculations.
  • Execute and support phase in – phase out (PIPO) planning related to new product introduction.
  • Support the in/outsourcing process (e.g. knowledge transfer, supplier ramp up).
  • Handling PR/PO, mold management for samples.

Project Management

  • Cross functionally works to make sure issues are settled and business run smoothly (internal, external).
  • Ensure raw material arriving on time by working closely with R&D, ENG, and QA to fulfill customer requirement and align with project milestone.
  • Boosted alternative sources and localization project to achieve costs saving, shorten lead time and improve sustainability supply

Compliance

  • Review field office procurement records to ensure compliance, maintain appropriate purchase documentation and obtain the necessary approvals.
  • Provide audit trail for probity audit and procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are complied with local and align with global guidance.

Job requirements

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 2 years in similar position, preferably in manufacturing industry, with knowledge of technologies like sheet metal, machining, aluminum casting and electronic
  • Brings a positive contribution towards multi-disciplinary project teams. Is able to read and understand drawing/specification and other engineering documentation to challenge design and suppliers on cost and quality.
  • Experience or interest in an international procurement environment
  • Strong negotiation and communication/presentation skills
  • Good command of English. Proficient in MS Office, SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring Supplier/ Sub-contractor: Supplier quality performance: DPMP (Defects per Million Parts), Claim, Supplier NQ Cost, Reports.
  • Assessment Supplier/ Sub-contractor.
  • Participate Supplier Global operation/ training/ Project when necessary.
  • Training to Supplier/ Sub-contractor when necessary.
  • Coordinate with relevant Dept for all supplier aspect.
  • Develop Supplier procedure, SOP, report … when necessary.
  • Participate yearly internal audit.
  • Others request from Manager.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality management role of manufacturing field.
  • As least 3 years’ experience in Supplier management,
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 or ISO 14001, 45001 standards.
  • Experience with internal auditing and CAPA activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good at English.
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP.
