Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Supply Planning Supervisor, the Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and production orders within or between departments based on a scheduled production plan corresponding. Duties include reviewing and distributing, jobs and schedule to the production, confirm with production supervisor to determine work progress and completion date; compile reports on work progress, issues related to production planning.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable master and detailed production schedules. Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met. Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules. Review and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production in short-term, mid-term and long-term planning. Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability to revise as necessary to meet customer demands.
- Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production. Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
- Responsible for master production schedule, ensure production capacity is loaded. Perform Production Orders creation in ERP. Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products and services. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. Contribute to continuous improvement, problem solving, corrective actions and cost reduction activities to meet KPI targets and company’s goals.
Job requirements
- 3-5 years proven experience in order management, customer service, or similar role
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is preferred)
- Good at communication
- Good at English
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistic, or related field
